Built by a SEO practitioner watching AI search reshape the work.
Citerion is what happens when a 10-year SEO practitioner stops fighting the trend and starts measuring it.
Why this exists.
In late 2024, something shifted. Clients stopped asking how to rank on Google. They started asking why their traffic was disappearing into ChatGPT.
There were no good answers. No tools. No frameworks. No vocabulary for the problem.
So we built the tool we wished existed — first to use on our own clients, then for everyone else watching the same thing happen to theirs.
The Citation Ecosystem Model came out of that work. Citerion is the product that runs on it.
Three convictions that shape the product.
A pretty chart without a model is noise. We sell a methodology first, a product second. The product runs on the methodology.
If you publish content and can't trace the AI lift back to it, you're guessing. Every Citerion recommendation closes the loop.
Every feature ships because a real client needed it last month. Not because a competitor has it.

Haani has spent over a decade running SEO for brands. Citerion came out of watching AI search rewrite how buyers find — and bypass — those brands: a framework, a measurement system, and a remediation playbook for the citation layer.
Two operating principles.
- 01Public by default.
Frameworks, methodology, the way scores are interpreted — all out in the open. The moat is execution, not secrecy.
- 02One product. One loop.
We're not building a suite. We're building one tool that does the four steps better than anything else.
The teams Citerion is built for.
Measuring AI traffic loss and trying to win it back.
Turning the loop into monthly editorial work.
Protecting how the company shows up in AI answers.
In regulated industries — finance, healthcare, pharma — where one wrong AI fact is a liability.
